Madison- Corky (Donald) Dickey, age 54 passed away on Wednesday, June 26, 2013. He was born on July 30, 1958, the son of Donald and Elda (Dody) Dickey.
Corky was a loving father to his children, and a good friend to so many. He had an easy smile for everyone he knew and loved. He was a locksmith in the Madison area for many years, and then at the UW at both Superior and Madison. He had a love of classic cars and trucks, and Harley Davidson Motorcycles.
Corky is survived by his three loving children, Jack (11) , Isabel (9) , Emma Dickey (5) and their mother, Alexandra (Rob) Christian all of Madison, his mother, Elda Dickey, a brother, Mick Dickey and a sister, Kim Pinkham all of Prairie du Chien. He is also survived by many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces/nephews, and friends. Corky was preceded in death by his father Donald, daughter Katie and sister-in-law Deb.
Private family services were held.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in his memory to an education fund that is being established for his children.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at Agrace HospiceCare and to Dr. Huen and his staff for treating Corky with the highest level of respect and compassion.
The father of three of my beautiful grandchildren, is gone. You will always be loved. Those beautiful sparkling blue eyes are closed to us and yet wide awake in heaven with our dear Katie. I know he will be in all of our hearts and souls forever. He will be another Guardian Angel looking down on his dear family. As Emma said "Dad is with Jesus now". So true. May God Bless You All. With Love from Nana
My regards to the Dickey Family
Seeing this tribute brought back a flood of emotions I have long supressed. I just wanted the Dickey family to know I was thinking of them during this, yet another, challanging time. God bless.
