Bonita Mae Waid

It's with a very heavy heart we announce that on Janurary 30th, 2024, Bonita Waid (Canaan), our strong, sweet, and beautiful Mom, Wife, Grandmother, Sister, Aunt, Cousin, Friend, went home to our Lord at 63 years of age, after a hard-fought battle with Laryngeal Cancer. 
 
 Bonita is survived by her husband Mark Waid; her children Nathan (Susan) Waid, Ashley (Aaron Fowler) Waid, Amanda Boyles, and Nicky (Jessica) Waid; her Grandchildren Brantley, Bethany, Makennah, Sylas, Eugene, and (Sonny); and her siblings Sandy (Doug) Gerber, Harlin Canaan, and Becky (Danny) Anderson. She is preceded in death by her parents Raymond and Thelma Canaan, and her Son-in-Law Benjamin Boyles. 
 
 Bonita was born on October 19th, 1960 in Reedsburg, Wisconsin. She attended Stoughton Area School District, as well as all of her children. 
 
 Bonita married Mark June 28th,1986 in McFarland, Wisconsin. They welcomed their first child, Nathan, in 1989, Ashley in 1991, Amanda in 1993, and Nicky in 1997. Some of her favorite activities included Soduko books, enjoying game nights, watching game shows and TV shows with her Husband, watching her Children grow into loving and successful people, and most importantly, spending time with her Grandchildren. 
 
 A memorial service is scheduled for March 2nd at Covenant Lutheran Church in Stoughton, Wisconsin from 1pm-4pm. A potluck will be held and anyone is welcome to attend and contribute. Again, we want to thank you all for loving and caring so deeply.
