Burton Mervin Gauthier

MARSHALL - Burton M Gauthier, age 79, of Marshall, WI passed away on December 24, 2015 at his home, surrounded by his family. Burton was born in 1936 in Rhinelander, WI, the son of Joseph and Josephine Guathier. On February 12, 1955 he married Mavis M. Pecor in Chisago, MN.
Burton enlisted in the Air Force, serving for four years stationed in Alaska. In civilian life he was employed for 30 years as an Electronic Technician with the Federal Aviation Administration. His hobbies included electronics, whittling and assembly of a Heathkit television set.
Survivors include his wife, Mavis Gauthier; Children, Terrie Gauthier, Kevin Gauthier, Lauri (Gauthier) Crook, Aaron Gauthier, James Gauthier and Lisa (Gauthier) Wreath; 13 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Mr. Gauthier was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Josephine Gauthier, his brother and sister-in-law, Wilford and Thea Gauthier, brother Clifford Gauthier, and granddaughter, Tiffany Rose Gauthier.
A Memorial Service will be held for Burton at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church 606 Madison St., Marshall, WI on Monday, January 11, 2016 at 11:00 am with lunch to follow. In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to Agrace HospiceCare of Madison.
