Charles Gerald Hartman

Charles G. Hartman, age 74, of Madison, died at home on January 15, 2014.

He had been diagnosed with advanced cancer late in the fall. He was born on January 29, 1939, to Charles A. and Margaret "Peg" Hartman in Reading, PA. He enjoyed a successful career in the investment and insurance business with his long time business partners Geoffrey Legler and Mary Stracka. Charley was an avid competitor in both swimming and running. He was preceded in death by his father Charles A. He is survived by his mother Peg. He is further survived by friends and family including Jennifer (David) Bennin, Mary and John Stracka, Geoffrey Legler, Sally Drew, Michael McManus, Brendon DeRouin, Michael Deon, Pat Rice, Ben Sims and his cousin Trudy who graciously helps care for his mother.

We will all miss him deeply.

In keeping with Charley's wishes, there will be no memorial service. There will be a gathering of friends at a later date to celebrate his life.
