Connie Ianne

December 6, 1937 — September 29, 2020

SUN PRAIRIE - Connie Ianne, age 82, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on September 29, 2020 after a long and courageous battle with a debilitating disease. Connie was born in Weirton, West Virginia to Erasmus and Helen on December 6, 1937. Her family moved to California in 1945. She grew up in Los Angeles and graduated from Belmont High in 1955. She met the love of her life, Frank, while working together at a grocery store. They recently celebrated 62 years of marriage.
Connie and Frank raised three children while both working full-time. In 1974, the family relocated to Wisconsin in search of a better life. Connie's husband and children meant everything to her which showed through love, support, friendship and food. Connie had a special passion for cooking. We will never forget Sunday family gatherings.
Connie worked at various organizations in the Madison area as an office manager. After retiring, she traveled extensively and especially looked forward to annual family trips to the beach house in Gulf Shores, AL and various lake cabin stays in northern Wisconsin. We were always amazed at how Connie could create the most fantastic meals from any vacation rental kitchen. She and Frank cherished special memories from a Mediterranean cruise to Italy, France, Spain, and Portugal. She also loved dining out, gaming, movies, socializing and laughing. She often talked about her happy childhood and later cherished all the priceless photos and videos her Dad captured throughout their lives.
Connie will be remembered for her kind and generous nature and for being a very special daughter, sister, wife, mother and grandmother. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
Connie is survived by her husband, Frank, sons Frank (Jayme) and Dave (Wendy); daughter Gloria (Bedford) Williams; brother Jim (Rose) Canyon; sister Patricia Johnson; brother-in-law Ron; five grandchildren and five great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Ross.
A private family memorial service will be held at a later date.
The family would like to extend a warm and sincere thank you to Dr. Schug at Dean clinic for many years of expert medical care and the Agrace hospice team for their extraordinary comfort care. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Connie Ianne to the Agrace Foundation, 5395 E. Cheryl Parkway, Madison, WI 53711 or at https://www.agrace.org/donate/donate-today
