David Hayhurst

David Hayhurst, 76, of Madison WI, passed away on Tuesday, November 8, 2022, after a recurrent battle with cancer.
David was born on July 13, 1946, to Ronald Hayhurst and Jessie Annie (Walders) Hayhurst in Burnley, Lancashire, England. The eldest of three boys, David developed a love for entertaining at a young age and became the lead singer in the band, "So On and So Forth". They opened for various well-known groups such as Small Faces, and even recorded a record of their own. Over the years he continued to entertain as a DJ and a Hotel Entertainment Director, compiling an impressive record collection with the Beatles being one of his favorite groups.
Possessing a great sense of humor and the ability to put people at ease, David found success in numerous business ventures. He owned a kitchen store, ran a health club, and trained distributors worldwide to sell maintenance products.
In 1994, David moved to Madison, WI where he pursued another of his lifelong loves, soccer. After earning his B license as a soccer coach, David put his passion for the sport to work with the Madison 56ers soccer club. He enjoyed working with kids, using his humor and knowledge of the game to inspire them to improve their skills and develop a love for the sport. He continued to be a religious follower of his hometown soccer club, the Burnley Clarets, and enjoyed lively debates about games, players, and which teams were going up or down in the ranks.

David was preceded in death by his parents and younger brother, Alan Hayhurst. He is survived by his youngest brother Ian Hayhurst, daughters Helen Regis and Sarah Holden (Gavin Holden), granddaughters Laura Baldwin and Alice Baldwin, and grandsons Daniel Holden, Thomas Holden, and Oliver Holden. All residing in England, and his sons Alex Hayhurst and Aaron Hayhurst of Madison, WI.
