Dennis Ray Baribeau

Dennis Ray Baribeau, age 77 of Madison, WI, passed away on March 4th, 2026, at UW Health with his family by his side. He was born on March 28, 1948 in Ashland, WI, the son of Arthur and Marilyn Baribeau. Denny attended grade school in Saxon, WI and high school in Ironwood, MI. He then went on to further his education in business at the University of Wisconsin in Whitewater.

For the majority of his career, Denny was a sales representative for Rayovac until his retirement. Denny was a member of the National Ski Patrol System for 30+ years and also an active board member of the UW Credit Union for quite some time. He was an avid fan of the Green Bay Packers and WI Badger Football teams and enjoyed all college basketball. He was proud of his butterfly garden and maintained a beautiful yard. Denny loved attending the Iron County Fair in Saxon, WI, catching up with friends and spending time with family.

Denny is survived by his sister, Denys Vargovich, nieces Wanda (Jeff) Ingraham, Roxanne Kokely (Mike Henning), nephew Mike Vargovich, Jr. (Deborah Huhnstock), his very special friend Sally Taylor and numerous great nieces and nephews and great- great nieces and nephews.

Denny was preceded in death by his parents, Art & Marilyn Baribeau, his brother Randall Baribeau and brother-in-law Michael Vargovich, Sr.

Per Denny’s request, there will be no funeral services. Denny’s final wishes were to be buried beside his parents in the Lakeview Cemetery in Saxon, WI.
