Dorothy Ann Rosenberg

Dorothy Ann (nee Warwick) Rosenberg, 95, died Friday, January 19th, 2024 in Madison, WI. Known affectionately as Dodie, born to the late Clarence and Ruth Warwick on November 11, 1928, she grew up in Green Bay, where the family were long standing members of the East Side Moravian Church. Her younger sister Carol Jacobson (Warwick) preceded her in death.

Dorothy graduated from Green Bay East High School, where she lettered as a clarinet player and was an "A" student. She married Eugene (Cookie) Rosenberg (who preceded her in death) on December 27, 1948. Dorothy is survived by her daughter Deborah and her husband Patrick, her son Curtis; three grandchildren, Elizabeth and her husband Alex, Sam and his wife Amber, and Josh and his wife Jenna, and two great-grandchildren, Ellis and Calder. She has two nieces, Heidi Knudsen (Jacobson) and Cindy

Mathews (Jacobson) and two nephews, Robert and Tommy Jacobson.

She and Cookie often entertained. Dorothy was a gracious hostess, adventurous cook, and set a beautiful table. Summer afternoons were often spent at Oneida Golf Club or gardening. Dodie was a stylish dresser, who often modeled in local charity fashion shows. She appreciated the good things in life and had a presence and originality.

Dorothy had two great passions. The first was volunteering at her church food pantry, which she became director and then greatly expanded its services to help countless families. In recognition of her service in 201O, the First United Methodist Church named their food pantry, "The Dorothy Rosenberg Goodwill Place".

Her other passion was her grandchildren, taking them to The Farm in Sturgeon Bay, crayfish hunting in Baird Creek and on family vacations in Wisconsin Dells. Dodie sewed Halloween costumes for them and never missed a birthday. She will be greatly missed.

A Memorial Service will be held this spring.
