Elaine Albrecht

Elaine Kathleen Albrecht, age 73, passed away peacefully February 6, 2014 at Agrace Hospice Care, after a courageous battle against ovarian cancer.

Elaine was born to Alfred and Helen Klug, on January 18, 1941. She was baptized on February 14, 1941 (her mother's birthday), and confirmed on April 14, 1954 (her father's birthday). She was married to Lawrence Albrecht on July 30, 1960.

She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Larry (Uncle Bud) Albrecht; two sons Lon (Lynne Siewert) Albrecht, Wade (Amy) Albrecht; five grandchildren, Alek Albrecht, Shay Albrecht, Zackary Albrecht, McKenna Albrecht, and Logan Albrecht. Elaine is also survived by her siblings; Gloria (Don) Grunenberg, Anita Kasten, Eunice Weihert, Wes (Jane) Klug, and Carolyn (Bob) Hoffman; also many nieces, nephews, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents Alfred and Helen; brother Ronald; father-in-law and mother-in-law Edward and Freida Albrecht.

Elaine attended Waterloo High School graduating in 1959. She went on to find her passion in real estate with Don Simon Realtors, Sun Prairie; and was a Realtor for Century 21 Tri-County in Columbus before retiring in 2002.

Elaine enjoyed many travels with Larry, spending time with family and friends, especially her grandchildren, reading, and her special cross stitching.

Elaine was a woman of many wonders; she brought such joy and love to all of those that knew her. She will be forever in our hearts, and we will take what she has taught us and live our lives to the fullest.

Memorial services will be held Saturday, February 15th, 2014 at Our Saviors Lutheran Church in Sun Prairie. Visitation beginning at 12:30 pm, services at 1:30 pm, with Pastor Julie Krahn officiating. Burial immediately following at Sun Prairie Memory Garden Cemetery. Luncheon will be held at Our Saviors.
