Ethan W. Rox

October 23, 1976 — February 8, 2020

Ethan Foster Rox, a friend to all, found eternal peace on February 8, 2020.

Held dearest in life by his devoted mother Cheri, sister Kinsley, nieces Alima and Phoebe, and his many friends.

Ethan yearned to be reunited with his father, his sisters Tiffany and Mallory, and his children, Gibson and Elle. In his death, may he be in their hearts, comforted by a closeness he could not have in his life.

Family estrangement profoundly impacted Ethan for over 20 years, but he soldiered on, playing his guitar and making people laugh.

Ethan unapologetically embraced so many things- music, movies, the Cubs, the Cleveland Browns, his friends, Rush, his family and fatherhood.

Loyal and kind and never jealous, he always cheered for the successes of others, even and especially when absent his own.

Ethan was a talented musician who mastered bass guitar at the Musician's Institute in Hollywood. He performed at the El Rey and the Whiskey.

Ethan loved politics but never played them, holding truth above all else. He had friends from all walks of life and loved America.

Ethan yearned to be reunited with his father, his sister Tiffany and his children, Gibson and Elle. In his death, may he be in their hearts, comforted by a closeness he could not have in his life.

Ethan was loved fully and unconditionally by his mother, Cheri - who always believed in him. He was adored by his nieces Alima and Phoebe, a world-class uncle.

Those of us who knew Ethan's pain are consoled only by the end of his suffering on this earth, and our enduring memories of his infectious laughter, his kindness, his humor, his compassion, his smile, and his smell.

Ethan will live forever in all of our hearts, his final gift to us a sobering reminder of the fragility of life and the value of forgiveness.

Rest In Peace, sweet Ethan. You were loved.

We will gather to celebrate Ethan on Monday, February 17th at 4PM at Vosh, 1414 Riverside Dr, Lakewood, OH 44107.
