Gale Renee Nigbor

Gale (Jones) Nigbor passed away at Agrace HospiceCare in Fitchburg, WI on March 19, 2018 following her lengthy and courageous battle with malignant melanoma. She was 58.
Gale was born on January 29, 1960 in Oshkosh, WI to her parents, Dianne and Melvin Jones. Throughout her life, Gale enjoyed baking, gardening and crafting. Most recently, her favorite pastime was spending time with her grandchildren. Though she left this earth too early, she will always be remembered as the best Mom, Grandma and friend anyone could ask for. Her quick wit and bright smile could light up a room.
In the face of a variety of health issues throughout her lifetime, Gale never gave up and will always be remembered for her strength, determination, and humor.
Gale is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Kirsten and Scott Dieckhoff; her grandson Mason Dieckhoff, her granddaughter Rylee Dieckhoff; her sister Linda (Joseph Jr.) Pohlod, her brothers Craig Jones, and Steve (Sherry) Jones; and her nephews William and Brian Jones. She is preceded in death by her father, Melvin and her mother, Dianne.
Visitation for Gale will begin at noon on March 24 at Cress Funeral Home, 3325 E. Washington Avenue in Madison with a memorial to follow at 1:00 pm. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Gale's life. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to "The Gale Nigbor Memorial Fund". Her family will donate proceeds from the fund to the American Cancer Society in Gale's honor.
