Hisae Takahashi

After 77 adventurous years, Hisae Takahashi has moved on from this epic life. She was very proud of her home country, Japan, and returned as often as she could. Most of her adult life was spent in Madison, Wisconsin. She was a fiercely independent woman, raising three children as a single mom. Hisae was also the proud owner of a small business, Studio Takahashi. It was there that she provided a fun and inviting space to care for her clients, some of whom became very dear friends. Hisae was a lover of all animals, especially cats, many she adopted from the humane society. 

She is survived by her three children, Michelle (Jay) Mullen, Maya (Troy) Acker, Hayato (Megan) Takahashi, her six grandchildren and their partners as well as her remaining family in Japan. Per her wishes there will be no funeral service. If you would like to honor her life, please do so by making a donation to the Dane County Humane Society.
