Howard John Dewes

Howard John Dewes was born to George Dewes and Margaret Maas Dewes on October 9th, 1937 in St. John, Indiana, the fourth and last child, all of whom graduated form St. John Grade School and Dyer High School.  Howard went on to earn a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Joseph College, Collegeville, Indiana and entered the investment securities industry.  He married Carole Bastasich and they had four children, Deborah, David, HJ and Darlene, each of whom he loved dearly until the day of his death.  He subsequently married Audrey Zahn (18 years) and Casandra Wallace (separated).

Howard will be remembered for several things: a red ball cap that read "I love Jesus"; a laugh that could light up any room; the willingness to volunteer services and money for most any cause, especially Christian in nature; and a love to eat plain good food especially if cooked in a home.

Howard thanks his many friends for their heart-felt care and concern and above all he thanks Jesus Christ for his sacrifice and faithfulness.
