James L Ruppe

SUN PRAIRIE - James L. Ruppe, age 68, died on Wednesday, September 2, 2015, after years of fighting the effects of emphysema. He was born November 19, 1946 in Gaffney, S.C. to Margaret Ruppe (Piper) and Joseph L. Ruppe.
James worked for several hospitals as a pharmacy assistant in Madison and Santa Monica, CA before returning to Waunakee after becoming disabled with emphysema.
Survivors include his sister, Carolyn (Ray) Stewart, beloved niece, Kristin Reeves, both of Madison; very special cousins, Kathy (Mike) Callies and their family, LuAnn (Chris) Kelley and their family and S.C. aunts and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his mother on July 4, 2015, his father, July 22, 1958, and his step-father, Dr. Philip G. Piper in 2000.
A private family service will be held at a later date.
