Jeanette I. Steger

Jeanette I. Steger, age 89 passed away on Tuesday, September 30, 2014. She was born September 20, 1925 in Lake Park, Minnesota, the daughter of Frank and Lottie (Severson) Reabe. On December 29, 1945, Jeanette was united in marriage to Elmer C. Steger in Theresa, Wisconsin. Over the years Jeanette was a devoted member of St. Theresa Catholic Church in Theresa, Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church in Hot Springs, AR and a member of the extension homemakers.

Jeanette is survived by her loving husband of 68 years Elmer; her four children, Bruce (Barbara) Steger of Zephyr Cove, NV, Glen Steger of Markesan, Mark (Sharon) Steger of Fond du Lac, WI and Laurie Larsson of Hot Springs, AR; two grandchildren, Dustin (Elizabeth) Steger of Fond du Lac and Erik Larsson of West Allis; one brother, Roy (Helen) Reabe of Waupun.

She was preceded in death by her parents, three sisters, Helen Scharnell, Fern Justman, and Opal Pankow, 2 brothers, Lawrence Severson and Gordon Reabe, and two grandsons, Eliot and Martin Steger.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Theresa Catholic Church, 106 Church Street, Theresa, Wisconsin on Tuesday, October 7, 2014 at 11:00 am with Father Tom Blersack officiating.
Graveside services will follow at St. Theresa Catholic Cemetery in Theresa.
