Judith Ellen Ewald

October 18, 1941 — July 15, 2013

DeForest - Ewald, Judith (Bruns) passed away on July 15, 2013, at home, surrounded by her family, after battling Lymphoma.

Judy was born on October 18, 1941 to Darwin and Louise (Thompson) Bruns.
After retiring from the State of Wisconsin after 32 years, Judy spent much of her time volunteering with causes like the Dragon Arts Club and Friends of the Yahara River Headwaters. She enjoyed working with the DeForest Area Historical Society and spent several years on the DeForest Village board.

She is survived by her daughter Kay (Jeff), her brothers Bruce and Steve, nieces JoAnn and Sarah, nephew John (Becky) and many dear friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother Frank.

A special thank you to the staff of UW Hospital, UW Home Health, Carbone Cancer Clinics and Agrace Hospice. Without your care and assistance, we could not have made it through this difficult journey.

A Memorial Mass will be held on Saturday, July 20, 2013, at 11 a.m. at Olaf's Catholic Church with Father Robert Butz officiating. Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 20, 2013, at St. Olaf's from 9:30 a.m. until the service begins. Burial will be immediately following the service.
