Kevin James Butler

Kevin James Butler was born on May 9, 1969. He was the oldest child of Jerry and Jeanette Butler, of Madison, WI. 

He attended First Baptist Church where he learned about the Lord at an early age. Kevin obtained primary and secondary education at Madison Public Schools. He was born with unbelievable athleticism that he demonstrated while playing football and running track at Robert M. LaFollette High School. He recently graduated with certification in HTML and Javascript Articulation in his chosen field of computer science. 

Kevin’s charisma and exuberant laugh could light up any room. He will be remembered for his quiet kindness and his quick wit, which drew people to him. Over the years, Kevin generated many lasting friendships. His family and friends will miss hearing him laugh, seeing his kilowatt smile, and enjoying his calm presence. 

Kevin departed this life on September 18, 2023, in Madison, WI. Kevin was preceded in death by his mother, Jeanette Butler; his grandparents, Katherine Butler and Eugene Butler; his aunts, Carrie Turner and Ronnie Butler; his uncles, James Lee Butler, Robert Earl Butler, and Larry Butler Sr. Left to cherish his memories are, his partner Courtney Rosinski; his children, Michayla Butler, Tobias DiPiazza, Kameron Butler, Gabriella Butler, Jaxon Butler and Dezaray Pilgrim; his parents, Jerry Eugene Butler and Nancy Hallada of Madison WI; his siblings, Jonathon Butler, Rachelle (Matt) Fochs, Charles Butler, of Madison, WI, and Vanessa (Frederick) Butler, of Brooklyn, NY; his nephews, Grant Butler and Xavier Fochs, of Madison, WI; his uncles, Everett (Bonnie) Butler of Pearl, MS, Christopher (Mary) Butler of Madison, WI; his aunts, Artis Smith of Jackson, MS, and Mary Kirkendoll of Milwaukee, WI, as well as a host of cousins, other relatives and friends.  

Celebration of Life Remembrance will be held at:

Roselawn Memorial Park, 401 Femrite Drive, Monona, WI, 53716 Saturday, September 30th from 1:00pm-2:30pm
