Marlene C Pool

Marlene C. (Schauf) Pool (76) of Sun Prairie, WI, passed away peacefully at Agrace Hospice, Madison, WI on February 24, 2015. Ms. Pool received a degree in education from UW Stout, Menomonie in 1967, as well as going on to study in the graduate program there. She taught Home Economics for many years in Durand, WI as well as in Shoshoni, WY. She was also a 4-H advisor, and worked with numerous social programs such as Head Start, services for abused women and children, and senior citizen centers. In 1969, she married Alvin D. Pool of Tracy, MN. They were married until his death in 1995. Marlene Pool was a wonderful cook, an avid reader, and loved music and dancing. she is survived by her sisters, Carolyn Bartel of Chilton, WI, Joyce Hubbard of Stevens Point, WI, and Wilma Hayden of Elmwood, WI, her daughters, Cynthia Pool of Rice Lake, WI, Carla Pool of Sun Prairie, WI, Carolyn Pool of Minneapolis, MN, and Catherine Pool of Cumberland, WI, and grandchildren Ryan, Renee and Nicole. Funeral Mass to be held at St. Dennis Church, Madison, WI, on March 20, 2015 at 2:30pm. Memorial reception to follow.
