Michael "Mike" Earl Paulus

Michael “Mike” Earl Paulus passed away in his sleep on July 12, 2025.

Mike was born in Richland Center on September 19, 1955 to Thelma (Gray) & Herman Paulus. Michael spent most of his childhood in Spring Green and graduated from Mineral Point High School in 1976.

Later Mike moved to Oregon and began working at Oakhill Correctional Institute where he worked as a correctional officer until his retirement. In retirement Mike worked for a bit driving school bus & driving for the Stoughton Taxi.

Mike married his wife, Jeannine (Sersch), in August of 1990. They resided in Stoughton where they both enjoyed going on road trips around the country and shooting pool in Stoughton and Oregon leagues. Mike also enjoyed golfing, playing darts & family camping trips over the years.

Michael is survived by his children Matthew (Beth) Paulus and Amy Garcia, their children Micaela, Camilla, Jakob, Xavier and Will, siblings Charles “Chuck” Paulus and Laura (Gerry) Daniels, step-daughter Vicki Sersch, her son Leo Endres, a niece, a nephew, cousins and their families.

Michael was preceded in death by his wife Jeannine, his parents, his sister Marie Paulus, his grandparents and all of his aunts and uncles.
