Norreen Jean Peterson

Madison- Norreen Peterson, age 80, of Madison passed away peacefully at Agrace HospiceCare on April 17, 2016. She was born on April 16, 1936 in Oconto, WI the daughter of John and Geraldine Olson.

Norreen married the love of her life, Robert "Bob" Peterson on November 19, 1960, in Oconto, WI. They lived in Madison where they raised their family.

Norreen was a meat wrapper at Kohl's for 32 years until her retirement in 2000. She was the model of hard work and loyalty. She loved to relax with her family laughing and telling stories. Norreen enjoyed being outdoors watching her flowers and garden grow. She had a big heart for animals and was fond of feeding the birds and squirrels.

Norreen is survived by her children, Jeff of Madison, Michelle (Dave) of Ocala, Fl., Joe (Laura) of Cottage Grove, son-in-law Greg Freed of Edgerton, grandchildren Adreane (Mark), Taylor, Tanna and Brianna, great-grandchildren Aaliyah, Dominic and Estelle, brother Calvin and sister Linda.

She was preceded in death by her husband, daughter Renee, and sisters Vonnie and Sharon.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Friday, April 22, 2016, at Roselawn Chapel, 401 Femrite Drive, Monona. Visitation will be held at 11:00 a.m. until the time of service.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to her family.
