Orn Touch, age 89, of Madison, Wisconsin, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 3, 2026, at 9:18 a.m., surrounded by her loving family. She was born on January 1, 1938, in Battambang, Cambodia, the beloved daughter of Tuoth Pov and Ith Rom. Orn was born and raised in Battambang, where she devoted herself to helping her parents raise her siblings and working on the family farm. From an early age, she demonstrated remarkable skill in cooking, planting, and nurturing—gifts that would define her life. Many would describe her as the heart of her family, embodying maternal devotion long before she had children of her own. Her radiant energy, gentle spirit, and unconditional love touched everyone fortunate enough to know her.
She was an active member of the Cambodian Association of America in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Orn married the love of her life, Choeun Touch, in Cambodia, and together they shared more than 50 beautiful years of marriage.
In April 1975, during the rise of the Khmer Rouge, Orn and her family endured the unimaginable hardships of war and life in refugee camps. With courage and hope for a better future, she immigrated to the United States, arriving in Norfolk, Virginia, in April 1985.
Over the years, Orn and her family made homes in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; Palm Coast, Florida; and finally Madison, Wisconsin, where she spent the remainder of her life surrounded by family.
Orn was an extraordinary sister, a devoted wife, a loving mother to her son, a cherished grandmother to two beautiful grandchildren, and a beloved aunt to many nieces and nephews. She was the root of the family—the peacemaker, the nurturer, and the steady source of love that held everyone together.
For more than 17 years, Orn bravely battled kidney disease and relied on hemodialysis. Despite her health challenges, her strength, resilience, and smile never faded. She will forever be remembered for her unconditional love, warm laughter, and the light she brought into every room.
Orn is survived by her loving husband, Choeun Touch; her sister, Jean Pov (Chak Moul) Pov; her sons, Phann Touch (Kouy Sam), Sokchea Touch; her two grandchildren, Dassyni (Dymon Williams) Touch and Dillon (Angie Bravo) Touch; eight nieces, five nephews, and numerous great-nieces and great-nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; four brothers; and two sisters.
Her legacy of love, perseverance, and devotion will live on in the hearts of all who knew
