Patricia M. Saltz

December 3, 1937 — June 24, 2015


Patricia Marie Saltz was a mentor, a guide and great composer in this life. Sadly, Pat passed away on June 24, 2015. She died with her beloved son Michael and loving sister Karen at her side. Born December 3rd, 1937, she grew up in Medford, WI and later moved to Madison, WI where she married Thomas Saltz on December 27th, 1966.

Pat proudly worked for Madison Newspapers and the State of Wisconsin for the University of Wisconsin department of kinesiology and physical education. In her life she enjoyed many animals, countless volunteerism, spending time with family and friends, and her many beautiful flowers. Pat was an avid reader and supporter of wildlife while enjoying learning new and meaningful things in life.

She leaves behind her son, Michael, six siblings, Elizabeth (Nick), Jim (Percilla), Jerry (Bonita), Carol (Marilyn), Nancy (Jim), and Karen (Ishmael), and many, many nieces and nephews she was so very proud of. Pat was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Christine Ross, brothers William and Gene, sisters Marie, and Rita, and her husband Thomas Saltz. Mom was sovery loving, selfless, and always welcoming and so amazingly encouraging of everyone she ever knew. Her special touch, personality, and true compassion will forever be remembered as bringing out the best in everyone she ever knew.

Her life celebration and remembrance will be held at Olbrich Botanical Gardens in Monona, WI on August 14th from1:00p.m. to 3:30p.m.
