Paulette (Phetteplace) Schulenberg, age 73, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family at home on February 12, 2022. On November 11, 1948, she was born to George Sr and Beverly (Fish) Phetteplace in Madison, WI.
Paulette worked as a waitress in her teens and helped care for and raise her brother and sister while their parents worked. She was a protective big sister. She was always outgoing and had many friends. Paulette worked as a secretary for many years after she married her husband, Hubert "Hubby", of 54 years.
She was known as "Mom" or "Ma" to many. Those who knew her, described her as "amazing", "the toughest", "the strongest person they knew", "outgoing and fun personality", and "the sweetest".
Paulette enjoyed reading, attending tractor pulls, camping, and going cruising with her husband and friends. She enjoyed riding dirt bikes with her son when he was younger. She loved painting ceramics with her daughter and working on craft projects with her granddaughter. She was a big supporter of her granddaughters in 4-H. Paulette has been a big fan and supporter of stock car racing from helping and supporting her husband to supporting her son and grandson. Most of all, Paulette enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.
She is survived by her mother, husband, children, Kathy and Chris (Miranda); her grandchildren, Colton (Mariah), Arionna (Robbie), and Isabell; two great-grandsons; sister Ann, brothers Daniel Sr (Linda) and George Jr (Leticia); and many other nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her father, George Sr.
