Richard George Bohan

Richard George "Dick" Bohan, age 86, passed away peacefully on November 19,2025 in Madison, Wisconsin. Born on April 11, 1939, in Menominee, Michigan, Dick lived a full and vibrant life marked by dedication to farnily, faith and community.

Dick devoted over three decades of service to the State of Wisconsin Department of Transportation, retiring after 32 years of hard work and commitment. His strong work ethic extended beyond his career- he was known for taking on side jobs and always staying active. Whether it was lending a hand or sharing a laugh, Dick brought energy and warmth to every endeavor.

He shared 68 wonderful years of marriage with his beloved wife, Bonnie Bohan. Together they built a loving family that includes five children: Christine (Mark) Gee of Cottage Grove Wisconsin: Joe (Aleia) Bohan of Fitchburg, Wisconsin: Steven (Staci Bohan of Madison Wisconsin: Lori (Brian) Yapp of Belleville, Wisconsin: and Michelle White of Cottage Grove Wisconsin. Dick also Leaves behind many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Who brought him immense joy throughout his life.

Dick was preceded in death by his parents, George and May Bohan as well as his brother William Bohan.

A man of deep faith, Dick was devoted member of St. Dennis Catholic Church. His spiritual life was an important part of who he was and guided him throughout his journey.

Known for his fun sense of humor and kind-hearted nature, Dick had a zest for life that touched everyone around him. He enjoyed bowling and playing cards with friends and family. He had a passion for new cars and never missed an opportunity to admire the latest models. A true connoisseur of good cologne and strong coffee, he appreciated connecting with others, and making people smile.

Dick's presence will be deeply missed by all who know him. His legacy lives on through the love he shared with his family and the countless memories made over the years.
