Richard G Berndt

Richard G. Berndt, "Rick" of Markesan, WI age 67 passed away October 29, 2015 at Agrace Hospice in Fitchburg. Rick was born on March 12, 1948 at Ripon Hospital. He grew up on the family farm and graduated from Markesan High School in 1966 and the University of Wisconsin-Madison with a degree in art in 1970. He worked in various art positions in Chicago, Watertown, Madison, and Markesan. Rick will be remembered for his great storytelling and his love of the outdoors. He is survived by his children, Sandra (Ben) Houseman of Madison, and Adam (Ame) Kaplan of Chicago, grandchildren Joseph and Jack Houseman, Hannah and Marni Kaplan, brother Randall (Wendy) Berndt of Madison. He is preceded in death by his parents, Herb and Julia Berndt, and brother Rudy Berndt.

A memorial gathering will be held on Tuesday, November 10 between 10 AM and 12 PM at Markesan Community Funeral Home in Markesan, WI.
