Bob passed away unexpectedly on January 26th 2024.

 

Bob was born in Green Bay, WI on July 2nd 1947 to John and Josephine Pawlak of Lena, WI.  He was a Lena High School graduate in 1965 and a UW Stevens Point Graduate in 1969.  Bob married the love of his life Bonnie (Meier) in 1972.

 

Bob was a wonderful flier of Remote Control (RC) airplanes and RC helicopters.  He helped many new fliers with building, balancing and flying their RC planes.  He also raced RC cars and was the first president of that local club.  He loved working on H.O. Scale railroad scenery and buildings.  He built many lay-outs and railroad buildings.  He learned woodwork and electrical skills from his carpenter father. He also enjoyed photography and computer projects.  Although he was disabled for 60 years Bob was proficient in many areas.   He loved to share his knowledge and help others with their hobbies.  Bob will be greatly missed .

 

Bob was preceded in death by his parents John and Josephine, his sister Diane Pawlak, his father in law Melvin Meier, and his brother in law Bob Acker.

 

Bob is survived by his wife Bonnie, his brothers Ken (Karen) Pawlak, and Don (Anne) Pawlak  of Stevens Point, WI.  He is also survived by his mother in law Elda Meier, other in laws,  including sister in laws Barb (Rick) Kalscheur, and Diane (Dave) Reible; brother in laws Tom (Kay) Meier, Russ Meier, Ken Meier, Chuck (Carol) Meier, Pat (Rachel) Meier, and Jerry (Jodie) Meier and many nieces and nephews.
