Sharon Ann Nye

Sharon Ann Nye of Monona, Wisconsin passed away on March 5th at the age of 73 to be with her lord and savior Jesus Christ.

Born on October 12th, 1952 in Pontiac Michigan, she was the daughter of Cora Jean and Harold Peck. She graduated from Hopkins High School in 1970 and continued to work and live in Michigan in her early adulthood until moving to Florida in the early 1980s.

While living in Florida, she specifically loved the beach and continued to spend time with her beloved mom and children, and this is where she ultimately met her husband. In 1998, she and her family moved to Monona, Wisconsin to begin a new life chapter.

She soon found a new career at Woodman’s East, where she genuinely loved working until she retired in 2013. In her free time, Sharon enjoyed gardening and knitting and was an avid cook – and loved revisiting Florida with her family during various vacations, especially to escape the Wisconsin winter.

A truly kindhearted person, Sharon had a great sense of humor and her personality was infectious, and she was adored by everyone who had the opportunity of having her impact their lives.

She is survived by her husband and son, as well as her two sisters and three brothers.

Per Sharon’s wishes, no funeral services are planned. The family would like to thank her caregivers, her doctors at UW Hospital and Dr. Mark Anderson for their excellent care.
