December 29, 1958 — May 21, 2025

Beloit

Beloit, Wisconsin-Tod M. Scribner, age 66, passed away peacefully on May 21, 2025. He was born on December 29, 1958, in Elgin, Illinois, the son of Dickey and Irene (Veden) Scribner. He married Wendy M. (Walker) Scribner on August 11, 1976. He attended high school in Two Harbors, Minnesota, after which he joined the United States Army in 1976. Throughout his career, he worked at The Beloit Corp as a heat straightener, at Custom Ditch as a heavy equipment operator, and at AMC as a punch press operator. Tod was a jack of all trades, and his hobbies often included fishing, hunting, forging, smoking meat and fish, and taxidermy. Some of his most recent hobbies were making hats, bracelets, sewing, distilling moonshine, and becoming a Jenga Master. His favorites were spending time at his cabin relaxing, being an avid Amazon shopper, a lifelong beer enthusiast, and spending time with his beloved family. He will always be remembered by some of his famous one-liners. "Quit it now!" "Holy Fuck, eh!" "Holy shit that one really ruffled my feathers!" "Listen, hear, young lady!" "Fuck!" "There will be none of that!" "Behave yourself now!" Tod loved watching any outdoor channel, but his favorite channel was MeTV as it had all the good classics like M*A*S*H, Andy Griffith, Golden Girls, and Westerns.

His daughters survive Tod: Brandi Savage (Will) & Jill De Leon (Tony) and 6 grandbabies, Aspen (Pumpkin), Logan, Mercedes, Ario, Frankie, and Maritza.

Tod is survived by 8 siblings: Sheila Guerrero (George), Vickie Dovenmuehle (Jeff), Kim Scribner (Jean), Babette Watkins, Terry Scribner (Pam), Lisa Hartley (Arlo), Dick Scribner (Deb), Irene Coffey (Glen) and many special nieces and nephews.

Tod was preceded in death by his father, Dickey L. Scribner, and mother Irene M. (Veden) Scribner.

A special thanks to the entire Scribner family, who all came together during his 8-week stay at UW Madison Hospital. During this journey, we celebrated with one last Keystone for the road. Thank you to all the UW doctors (Plastics, Vascular, Lung, Hospitalist, and Palliative Care), nurses, and staff who made his last days as comfortable and peaceful as one could hope for. A special thanks to Stacey, Norzin (Princess), Case, Jeremy, Linda, Aaron, Ben, Lindsay, and Conner for all your compassion. "CAN I GET A POPSICLE?"
